Why Did You Want to Become a Sleep Dentist?

While in college, Dr. Layman initially considered going to medical school (she even worked as an RN), but her mom told her to consider dental school instead. She did, and that has brought her to where she is today—moms are always right!

Where Did You Study Sleep Dentistry?

Dr. Layman completed her undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, and she went on to earn her dental degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry. Today, she is double-board certified in dental sleep medicine, having Diplomate status in both the American Board for Dental Sleep Medicine and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Layman and her husband, Nick, have been married for over 20 years, and they have two daughters, Lainey and Zoe. On the weekends, she loves to shop, travel, and watch movies with the family.
